Flavicon

Favicons are the little icons that appear nest to a web address on the top of your browser.
A favicon (short for 'favorites icon') is also known as a website icon. This icon is one of the best ways to add credibility to your website or blogsite. Blogger inserts the orange one for you by default.page icon or urlicon, is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage.

Browsers that support them may display them in the browser's URL bar, next to the site's name in lists of bookmarks, and next to the page's title in a tabbed document interface. Some operating systems, like Windows, will also often use the favicon for Internet shortcuts to sites placed on the desktop or in other directories.

You can easily make your own online.
Here are a couple of sites that can help you produce your flavicon.

After you've created your favicon, it's time to add it to your site. To do so, follow the below simple procedure:

1. Upload the generated file ("favicon.ico") to your site.
2. Next, insert the below code in the HEAD section of your pages, at the very least, your site's main index page:

link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico"
(Put a < before and a > after)

3. Note that your favicon may not appear immediately after you've completed the above two steps. In fact, it may take a few days, and in IE, sometimes the favicon will disappear from time to time due to a browser bug.
