Blog Action Day is a day set aside for bloggers to devote to writing about a cause. This year the cause is about poverty. Organizers are asking bloggers to draw attention to world poverty by posting some aspect of the plight.
Obviously, this is a good for drawing world attention to poverty. If everyone is talking about poverty then someone is going to try and do something about it. We can all do something in our own way.
Beyond the call to a cause, Blog Action Day is the invention to a necessity. The necessity is the growing number of bloggers. The invention is a cause to unite bloggers as a whole. It is sort of like the first large scale union of bloggers.
