Putting Pizazz into your posts can help inspire others. Pizazz is the element(s) that make the post memorable and inspirational.

1. Teach people how to do something, if not do something better.
2. Use photographs to help enhance your point.
3. Show your readers how it is easy and fun to do it.
4. Give tips and tricks.
5. Use references and links to professionals, sites that are helpful or to something online that you have found to be helpful
6. Use a variety of colors in your over-all site appearance.
7. Inspire readers to participate by sending in their ideas or photos of something they have accomplished.
8. Promote an organization, seminar or gathering that is related to your topic.
9. Conduct your own seminar online and promote it.

2. Decide what kind of point of view you will take on the subject.
3. Do your research to see what kind of similar blogs are out there.
4. Do your research to be assured that you will always have ample information to keep your blog running.
5. Make sure that you choose a topic and point of view that you have some authority on.It will be all too evident if you are a novice with simple information
6. Align yourself with similar hobby bloggers. This is easy to to with a blog roll.
7. Show links to the next step for you visitors. By next step, I mean once they have read your post, what will their next step be.
8. Choose your advertising to complement your topic.
9. Use a variety of resources for information.
10. Also include images and possible embedded videos.
11. Always quote and tag your resources.
12. Never steal information and call it your own.
13. Use at least 2 links in every post.
14. Attempt to present old information in a new and freshened look.

Are you stuck on a blog topic?
Or, are you one of those people who has so many hobbies that you don't know how to narrow it down to just one to blog about.

Here are some tips to help you find that hobby blog topic.

1. Consider what you know the most about. What you know the most about may also be an indication of what you enjoy the most as well. This will give you an indication of what you will be most likely to continue writing about after the thrill of starting a new blog has worn off.
   
   
2. Blog on a topic that has plentiful resources for new information. For example, I blog about chocolate because there are always new stories in the news and the possibilities for posts with recipes are endless.
   
   
3. Check out how many similar blogs there are. If there are too many blogs on one aspect of your hobby then it's been over-done. Check out the competition to find your niche or the reason why someone will visit your blog before someone else's.
   
   
4. What are your resources for information? Do you have an in with a source or are you involved with a group specific to your hobby? This can help you shed a new approach on a topic or serve to inspire new ideas.
   
   
5. And finally, what is your support community like? For instance, there are many scrap booking bloggers. Some of them have formed blog-rings where they support one another by listing their sites on each other's blog. They also visit one another regularly to leave nice comments.

How to get started on your hobby blog.

I love chocolate.
That is a fact.

I turned my love for chocolate into my blogsite, Chocoholics Diary.

I started my blog just for fun. It certainly is not my day job but, with small bits of advertising I am able to pay for the domain name chocoholicsdiary.com. I also earn a few extra dollars which make the rewards even better.

If you are seriously considering starting a hobby based blog here are a few things to consider;

• Are there any similar blogs?
• What will your niche be?
• What makes you any kind of an authority?
• What will your site consist of?
• Do you have any kind of a potential reader base?
• Where will your material come from?

In my case, yes, there are similar blogs. All I had to do was a Google Blog search on chocolate and an array of blogs popped up. Were there too many to make mine any kind of a success? Probably not.

My niche is that I offer recipes, news, and facts about chocolate. Kind of like a knowledge base for chocolate.

My authority is that I've eaten plenty of chocolate in my lifetime. Because of my love for the product, I have no problem doing the research.

My site consists of news, embedded items, and recipes for chocolate related items.

My reader base was totally picked up after I started the blog and people randomly visited it.
A lot of the time, the information that I provide is the kind of information that people are in search of.

My information comes from a variety of places. When I do a facts post I consult research authorities. Recipes are found from recipe sources.

Starting a hobby blog is not hard to do. You must put some thought into it in order to maintain a direction and fulfill a niche. A lot of the time this is an ongoing process.
